Return from Christmas: Zoo photos

I returned from my Christmas break a couple of days ago.  From now on, I plan to post once a week, on Saturdays.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I had gone to the zoo in Metro.  Here are some photos from the trip.

The reptile house was one of the highlights, since the animals in most of the other parts of the zoo had hidden themselves due to the cold weather (mid-30's).  One of the stars of the zoo is the albino alligator:

 There was a snake (tropical, venomous) with very pretty eyes:

And, something of a surprise, since they're small animals, and one would think would be more affected by the weather, meerkats:
